Stake-driving ceremony for construction of Agricultural Marketing Center held in Pobbathiri Tsp.

A stake-driving ceremony for construction of an Agricultural Marketing Center was held in Pobbathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw in compliance with the COVID-19 restrictions. 


Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Thu, Deputy Minister U Hla Kyaw, South Korean Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Lee Sang-hwa, Chief Representative of KOICA Ms. Lee Youn Soo, member of Nay Pyi Taw Council U Aye Maung Sein, MP U Maung Maung Swe of Amyotha Hluttaw, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Kyaw Min Oo and officials presented the ceremony. The officials then drove stakes at the designated areas and sprinkled the scented water on it. 


At the ceremony, the Union Minister and South Korean Ambassador gave opening remarks and Chief Representative of KOICA also spoke words of thanks. Next, Director General of the Department of Agriculture Dr. Ye Tint Tun clarified the purpose of the construction.


With the aid of Korean Government, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and KOICA will jointly implement the center. Upon completion, it will benefit the development of agricultural sector.
