Officials from District Department of Social Welfare made a domiciliary visit to provide social pension to elderly people over 85 years old in Meiktila Township on October 14.
The Ministry of Social Welfare, Rescue and Rehabilitation is providing social pension to elderly people over 100 years old starting from 2014-2015 FY, elderly over 90 years old starting from 2017-2018 FY and elderly over 85 years old starting from 2018-2019 FY. Now, about 250000 elderly people across the nation are being provided with social pension.
