Social pension, nutritious food provided to senior citizens in Hopang Twsp.

Officials provided social pension and nutritious food to elderly people aged 85 and above in Hopang Township, the Wa Self-Administered Division in Shan State yesterday.

 

Officials from the Township Department of Social Welfare under Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, Chairperson of the Township Maternal and Child Welfare Association Daw Moe Moe Aye, members of Maternal and Child Welfare Association from township and District, staff officer of the Township Department of Social Welfare Daw Mya Kay Khaing and staff jointly paid a domiciliary visit to the homes of senior citizens in Minpan Lwe Ward and Panlong Road Ward in the Town and handed over social pension and nutritious food to them.

 

Under this cash aid program, nine senior citizens who are eligible for social pension in the Town received Ks 30000 each and nutritious food for the months of October, November and December in 2021-2022 FY. There are 76 elderly people in Hopang Township. Respective village administrators continue to provide social pension to the remaining senior citizens in villages in the Township.—Zin Zin (IPRD)
