Slight earthquake jolts Nay Pyi Taw

No immediate reports of damages or casualties were reported following a slight earthquake which was recorded yesterday night, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) announced.

 

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter inside Myanmar hit about 15 miles north-northwest of Pyinmana Township in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area. It was recorded at 8:40 p.m. at a latitude of 19.80°N, and longitude of 95.97°E, with a depth of 10 kilometers and about 11 miles north- northwest of the Nay Pyi Taw seismological observatory, said the DMH.—DMH
