Slight earthquake jolts Falam Township

No immediate reports of damages or casualties were reported following a slight earthquake which was recorded this morning, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) announced.


An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.6 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter inside Myanmar jolted about 14 miles North-Northwest of Falam Township in Chin State. It was recorded at 7:42 a.m. today at a latitude of 23.12°N, and longitude of 93.66°E, with a depth of 26 kilometers and about 33 miles North-Northeast of the Haka seismological observatory, said the DMH.—DMH
