A medical team led by Medical Superintendent Dr. Aung Wai San from Sao San Tun Hospital in Taunggyi gave free healthcare services to local people at a monastery in Tikyit Village, Pinlaung Township, PaO Self-Administered Zone in Shan State.
The ophthalmology team provided various free healthcare services to nearly 3000 residents from Tikyit Village and its environment by using Ultrasound and ECG. Shan State Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation Dr. Nyi Nyi Aung, Shan State Minister for Social Affairs Dr. Myo Tun, Chairman of PaO Self-Administered Zone Leading Body U Khun San Lwin, Lawmaker from Shan State Parliament U Khun Saw Aung and departmental officials encouraged the patients.
They also inspected work progress for construction of a station hospital in Tikyit Village.—Khun Aung (IPRD)
