School facility opened in Thagaya

A ceremony to open a new school facility was held at a basic education high school in Thagaya Town, Bago Region this morning.

 

The Chief Minister of Bago Region U Win Thein gave an opening speech before the Lower House MP U Kyi Moe Naing and the township’s deputy education officer clarified matters relating to the school building. On behalf of the parents of the students, a local spoke words of gratitude. Afterwards, the chief minister, Upper House Lawmaker Daw Tin Tin Win and officials opened the school facility by cutting a ceremonial ribbon and had a documentary photo taken.

 

The two-storey structure is 130 ft. long and 20 ft. wide and was constructed at a cost of Ks. 156 million in the fiscal year 2016-2017.—Tin Soe (Bago)
