Rural road being built in Indaw Township

Indaw, 8 March

A rural road is being built by the Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation in Indaw Township, Sagaing Region.

The road will be three miles long, 12 ft. wide and 9 inch thick and is being built with nearly Ks. 97 million of the funds allocated in the current fiscal year by a tender winning private company. Once completed, the facility will benefit around 180 acres of farmland owned by 848 people from 167 households.

In addition, local people will be able to sell and transport their products to markets in a timely manner, thereby contributing to uplifting their socioeconomic status.—Myo Win Nyo (Kyunhla)
