A ceremony to inaugurate a rural electrification structure took place in Phayargon Village, Nyaungdon Township in Ayeyawady Region on 18 February.
At first, concerned officials formally opened the rural electrification facility. Next, a representative from the National Electrification Plan (NPE) explained arrangements made to distribute electricity to the village-tract. On behalf of local people, a local writer expressed words of thanks.
Electricity is being supplied to four villages from a rural electrification facility which was built under the NPE scheme and a similar structure will be allegedly opened on 20 February.—Thabyay Tun
