Rural electrification facilities inaugurated in Gangaw Township

Inauguration ceremonies of rural electrification facilities were held in five separate villages, Gangaw Township in Magway Region on Sunday morning.

The Chief Minister of Magway Region Dr. Aung Moe Nyo, Regional Minister for Natural Resources, Environment, Electricity and Energy U Myint Zaw, Upper House MP U Pyue Lwin, Deputy Commissioner U Kyaw Min Nyo, an official from the Electricity Supply Enterprise and village officials formally opened the rural electrification structures by cutting ceremonial ribbons.

At the opening ceremonies, the regional chief minister, the regional minister, and the Upper House legislator gave speeches and an official from the Electricity Supply Enterprise explained matters relating to distribution of electricity. The village authorities then spoke words of gratitude.

13866 rural people from 47 villages out of 107 in Gangaw Township have electricity access from the National Grid.—Kyaw Than Swe (IPRD)
