With the aim of upgrading the socioeconomic development of rural people in border areas, developmental works were implemented in Hlaingbwe Township, Kayin State and now all the works have been completed by 100 percent.
The Department of the Development for Border Areas and Nation Races is also undertaking construction of roads and bridges, digging wells, distribution of solar panels and construction of low-cost staff housing in border areas.
In the township, the upgrade of Hlaingbwe-Shanywathit Road and Kamawlae-Kyain Road were undertaken with K 287.081 million of funds for development of border areas. Upon completion, it will bring the socioeconomic development of local residents in the township.
