Hakha, 11 January
Members of the Myanmar Red Cross Society Committee in Chin State provided relief items to fire victims in Myothit Ward in the town of Hakha, Chin State yesterday.
Chairman of the state Red Cross Society Committee U Ram Khar and members provided relief items including a rescue kit box with 13 items to fire victims from three households in Myothit Ward in Hakha.
Fire broke out in Myothit Ward at around 11:20 pm on 9 January. The fire is believed to have started from an overheated electronic heater in the bedroom of the home of U Kio Ling, and spread to neighboring two homes. One person was reportedly burnt to death in the fire.
