Pinlebu, 7 June
A large quantity of raw jade stones were seized in Kankone village in township of Pinlebu, Katha district, Sagaing region yesterday evening.
Acting on a tip-off, policemen led by police sub-inspector Thet Paing from Pinlebu Myoma police station together with witnesses search a car parked on a road in Kankone village in the presence of Ko Thet (a) Thet Naing, car owner, and Zarni Hein. The search led to the discovery of 297 raw jade stones inside the car.
Action is being taken against the two for their role in illegal business.—Myo Lwin (IPRD)
