Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U T Khun Myat received Mr. Jean-Marie Cambaceres, President of European and International Affairs Section of CESE (the Economic, Social and Environmental Council) and former member of Parliament of France at the Pyithu Hluttaw building in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
At the meeting, they discussed and exchanged views on matters to be cooperated to strengthen the relations between the two parliaments, the role of the CESE and its collaboration with civil society organizations in different sectors of the country and CESE’s cooperation with international parliaments and promoting the capacity of staff of office of parliament.
Also present at the meeting were Deputy Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw U Tun Tun Hein and officials of the Pyithu Hluttaw Office. —MNA/(Translated by Tun Tun Naing)
