Pyithu Hluttaw convenes 3rd day meeting of 16th regular session

PYITHU Hluttaw organized the 3rd day meeting of 16th regular session yesterday, with questions and answers to asterisked questions. MP Daw Cho Cho from Ottwin constituency asked the relevant ministries for inviting foreign investments and loans after adopting policies to receive financial investments, technologies and warehouses to store seasonal crops for ensuring stability of agricultural produce market. Deputy Minister for Commerce U Aung Htoo explained the ongoing works of his ministry for price stability, smooth trade, export promotion and reasonable prices of agricultural produce, and the collaborative efforts of Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation with the relevant organizations to support this sector. MP U Kyaw Swe Win (a) U Ar Lu from Kawhmu constituency asked about the reconstruction of main market in his constituency.

 

Nay Pyi Taw Council Member U Nyi Tun answered that no one has submitted the tender for this project although open tenders have been invited for two times on 7 December 2017 and 5 October 2018. MP U Myat Lay Oo from Htilin constituency asked about construction of a single-sided dam for household and irrigation water in Sinswe village in his constituency.

 

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Hla Kyaw remarked the project is not appropriate for the area due to the geographical and climatic situations, but he suggested possibility of underground wells after conducting feasibility studies.

 

MP U Tun Tun from Pwintbyu constituency asked about the increasing amounts of foreign investments and national investments from April 2016 to December 2019, as well as the prospect of future investments, and question was answered by Deputy Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations U Bharat Singh; MP Win Myint Aung from Dabayin constituency asked about removal of paddy warehouses in Shwebo, Wetlet and Saipyin town of Debayin townships, and it was answered by Deputy Minister U Aung Htoo; MP U Myo Zaw Oo from Lewe constituency asked about promotion of Alar village-tract to Alar Town in his constituency, Nay Pyi Taw Council member U Aye Maung Sein replied the query; MP Dr Saw Naing from South Okkalapa constituency asked for a long term project for using gravity system water supply technique, together with the existing pumping system from Ngamoeyeik water treatment plant, to be able to reduce electricity consumption, and the question was answered by Nay Pyi Taw Council Member U Nyi Tun.

 

MP U Nyunt Win from Kanpetlet constituency asked about removal of squatters from old town of his constituency and inspecting land area of hotel zones; U Tun Tun Naing from Kani constituency asked about renovation of embankment and requirement of designs for safety measures in renovation works; U Than Lin Lin from Mesei constituency asked about creek water project for sufficiency of household water in Hosei and Nantman villages, the questions were answered by Deputy Minister U Hla Kyaw. Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U T Khun Myat informed the receiving Myanmar Health Assistant Council Bill with the recommendations of Amyotha Hluttaw, and Bill Committee member U Sai Tun Aye presented their report on it to the Pyithu Hluttaw.
