The third-day meeting of the Second Pyidaungsu Hluttaw’s 13th regular session was held at the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw meeting hall yesterday morning.

Union Legal Aid Board 6-month work report

As the first agenda item of the day Union Legal Aid Board secretary U Khin Zaw read the board’s six-month work report and Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker announced for Hluttaw representatives who want to discuss the report to register their names.

Ministry of Transport and Communications explanation on acceding to MOU and Protocol

Next, Deputy Minister for Transport and Communications U Kyaw Myo provided separate explanations on Myanmar acceding to Memorandum of Understanding on the Improvement of Safety Standards and Inspection for Non-Convention Ships Within ASEAN Member States sent by the President and Myanmar acceding to the Protocol of 1988 relating to the International Convention on Load Lines, 1966 (LL PROT 1988) also sent by the President.

After the conclusion of each explanation Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker announced for Hluttaw representatives who want to discuss the matter to register their names.

Pyidaungsu Hluttaw approves Child Rights Bill

Following this, Joint Bill Committee secretary U Kyaw Soe Lin tabled a motion to approve by paragraph the Child Rights Bill returned with comments by the President and the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw approved the Child Rights Bill paragraph by paragraph.

Pyidaungsu Hluttaw approves Land Confiscation Bill

Later the Joint Bill Committee secretary also tabled a motion to approve by paragraph the Land Confiscation Bill that the two Hluttaws were in disagreement; later the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw approved the Land Confiscation Bill paragraph by paragraph after which the meeting was concluded.  (Translated by Zaw Min)
