Palauk, 9 April

With a view to preventing traffic accidents during Maha Thingyan (water festival), a public awareness campaign on reduction of traffic accidents was launched this morning in front of BEHS in Palauk, Myeik District, Taninthayi Region.

The aim of the campaign is to persuade motor cyclists to wear helmets while riding a motorbike,  to ban them from drinking alcohol while driving and to prevent  them from making noises that can  annoy other people.—Naing Oo, Palauk IPRD
