President U Win Myint delivered a speech at the ceremony conferring honorary titles at the Thabin Hall of the Presidential Palace in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Vice-Presidents U Myint Swe and U Henry Van Thio, Pyithu Hluttaw Speaker U T Khun Myat, Amyotha Hluttaw Speaker Mahn Win Khaing Than, Union Chief Justice U Htun Htun Oo, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Union Ministers and honorary title winners and their family members. The President made a speech at the ceremony.
The respective honorary titles for 2020 and the winners were Thayay Sithu Medal of the Pyidaungsu Sithu Thingaha Title to Patron of Kanbawza Bank Limited Wunna Kyaw Htin Sithu U Aung Ko Win; Thiha Thura Medal of the Military Gallantry Titles to Lt-Col Aye Min Aung from No. 564 Light Infantry Battalion and Thura Medal to Major Yan Naing Oo from No. 564 Light Infantry Battalion, Captain Zaw Oo Lwin from the Defence Services Academy and Warrant Officer Class Two Tun Wai (fallen) who was represented by his wife Daw Athan, Zeya Kyaw Htin Medal of Capability Title to Lt-Gen Thet Pon, Lt-Gen Tun Aung, Maj-Gen Lin Aung , Maj-Gen Khun Thant Zaw Htoo, Maj-Gen Ko Lay, Maj-Gen Thet Tun Oo, Maj-Gen Khin Maung Than, Maj-Gen Aung Myo Min (retired), Maj-Gen Tin Aye (retired), Maj-Gen Myint Oo (retired), and Maj-Gen Tin Aung Chit (retired); Alankar Kyawswa Title to veteran Myanmar orchestra or Saing-waing player U Sein Sa Tin (a) U Tin Maung (demised) who was represented by his son U Min Han (a) U Sein Min Naing; Theikpa Kyawswa Title to specialists Dr Toe Hla and U Kyaw Win.—MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
