Police nab drug suspect with handmade gun in house raid

The police seized a handmade gun from a drug suspect in a house search in Thaungmyin Village, Indaw Township in Sagaing Region on Sunday.

           

Based on an anonymous tipoff, a local police squad headed by Police Inspector Myo Min Aung from Meza regional police station raided the house of a suspected drug smuggler identified as Nay Lin Tun from Thaungmyin Village at about 9:30 p.m. on 28 April.

 

They discovered an illegal homemade gun and 91 pellets in the house. The police have charged the house owner with possession of weapons, said the police inspector.—Lu Aung (Katha)
