Photo show, competitions held to mark Bogyoke Aung San’s birthday

Laymyethna, February 13

In commemoration of International Children Day and the 105th anniversary of Bogyoke Aung San’s birthday which falls on February 13, photo show and competitions were held at the meeting hall of Laymyethna township General Administration Department in the town of Laymyethna in Hinthada district, Ayeyarwady region this morning.

At the event, township administrator U Kyaw Tun made opening remarks. Then, U Aye Hlaing, one of town elders expressed his view, saying that the birthday celebrations of Bogyoke Aung San should be annually held as he was a role model for the country who had admirable, respectable morals and characters.

Then, children from Laymyethna kindergarten school participated in poem-reciting competition, sports competition and gave performances to the audience. Officials presented the children with gifts and the staff from the township Information and Public Relations Department handed the attendees leaflets on massages about the 105th anniversary birthday of Bogyoke Aung San.—Shwe Moe (IPRD)
