No casualties were reported in a negligence fire in Pauk Township, Magway Region this morning.
The fire broke out at a house belonging to a resident identified as U Kyi Soe, 43 years of age from Aungchantha Ward, Pauk Township at around 9:45 a.m. today. The fire is believed to have started from a cell phone charger. Local firemen led by Township Administrator U Kyaw Swar Ohn, regional lawmaker Daw Myint San, and the commander of the township police station Police Major Zeyar Than took about 10 minutes to completely put out the blaze with the use of two fire engines, one water tanker and fire extinguishers.
The house owner has been charged with fire negligence by the local police station.—Nyan Toe
