One killed in restaurant fire in Taungoo Twsp.

A 76-year-old man was killed in a fire which broke out at the Moekaungkin Restaurant on No.(7) Khemar Road in the Town of Taungoo, Bago Region at about 6:20 am on July 29. 

 

The fire was believed to have caused by short circuits and engulfed the bedrooms of the restaurant and killed a man who was suffering from stroke. 

 

Firefighters from the Township Fire Services Department rushed to the incident scene to put out the fire in collaboration with local people and volunteers using eight fire engines and philanthropic vehicles. The fire was completely extinguished at around 6:45 am.

 

Action has been taken against the restaurant owner for fire negligence by local police.—Ko Lwin(Swar)
