Gangaw, March 26
As a precaution against the deadly Covid-19, a combined team comprised of staff from township level departments carried out health check on travellers and gave out handouts about the virus at the junction, eight miles away from the town, on Gangaw-Hakha motor road and Gangaw-Kalay motor road starting this morning.
In doing so, the team scanned the body temperatures of passengers on buses travelling from and to the towns of Kalay, Hakha and Gangaw, providing them technical knowledge to understand preventive measures against the virus, possible ways of the spread of the virus.
A total of 12 buses and 42 motorbikes crossed the junction in the morning of the day.—Htin Aung Naing (IPRD)
