Nyaung Chaung Tha located on confluence of Irrawaddy and Pan Hlaing rivers near Yankinsan village, Nyaungdon Township, Ayeyarwady Region will be opened beginning 23 February.
Chairman of Nyaungdon Development Committee U Aung Myo Win said they have made a wide range of arrangements for the safety and convenience of visitors including car parking, restaurants and recreation facilities.
There are about 50 shops on a 500-acre white sand. The resort which is 34-mile from Yangon can be accessible by car in an hour. Nyaung Chaungtha beach is a famous resort frequented by more and more visitors year after year. The beach attracts local and foreign visitors for recreation and relaxation. –Tun Kyaw (Nyaungdon)
