New school buildings handed over in Patheingyi Township

Letkaung BEMS was upgraded into a BEHS (Branch) along with the handover of new school buildings at a ceremony held at the school in Patheingyi Township, Mandalay Region yesterday morning with a speech made by Chief Minister of Mandalay Region Dr Zaw Myint Maung.

 

At the event, Chief Minister said that basic education schools play an important role in nurturing the Union spirit and flourishing of democracy.

 

Next, the Chief Minister, the Chairman of Mandalay Regional Hluttaw, Hluttaw representatives, the Deputy Director-General of the Region Education Department and donors cut ribbons to open the ceremony.

 

With the emergence of the new building, students have now been able to pursue education with peace of mind, and towards this end, the facility was constructed with the contributions of the government and donors under the leadership of the School Board of Trustees.

 

The school was a primary school in 1955 and it was upgraded step by step into a basic education high school (branch) in Patheingyi Township in 2018. – MNA
