New school building opens in Wakema Twsp.

A ceremony to open a new school building was held in the compound of B.E.H.S.-2 in Ywarle Ward in Wakema Township of Ayeyawady Region at about 9:30 am on Mach 21.

The region education officer U Toe Win, Myaungmya District Education officer U Htay Win, Chairman of the Township Administration Body U Swan Htet, departmental officials, teachers and students attended the event.

On the occasion, the region education officer U Toe Win and departmental officials cut a ceremonial ribbon to formally open the new school building and sprinkled scented water on the school signboard. Afterwards, officials viewed round the new school facility.

The one story new school building measuring 90 ft. in length, 30 ft. in width and 12 ft. in height was constructed by a tender winning Company with K139.90 million of the union budget for 2023-2024 FY. Construction work of the school building was implemented from July 23, 2023 and completed in December 23, 2023.—Hein Htet Linn
