New library inaugurated in Yinmarbin Tsp.

A ceremony to open a library named “San Yadanar” was held at a monastery in Kabin Sanpya village in Yinmarbin Township, Yinmarbin District, Sagaing Region this morning.

 

With the aim of encouraging the local residents to become more familiar with reading habits, a library was funded by well-wisher U San Tin and family.

First, Shwe Yinmar Sayadaw, an official from the District Information and Public Relations Department, well-wisher U San Tin and his wife, Chairman of District Book Club and Chairman of Athawka Philanthropic Organization formally cut the ceremonial ribbon to open the library.

 

At the ceremony, Shwe Yinmar Sayadaw gave remarks and an official from the IPRD clarified the purpose of the opening a library. Then, the chairman and a member of the Book Club also explained the value of wisdom and the benefits of reading with the attendees.

 

Next, the will-wishers donated books, publications and magazines to the library through the village administrator. The construction of the library was cost at a spend of K 11 million.
