New international level wholesale market to emerge in Yangon City

As now is time to improve multiple sectors of Yangon City, high-rise buildings, high-rise hotels, high-rise business centres and shopping malls mushroom in many parts of the city. Some of the buildings are under construction and some have completed. Currently, Seamanea Yangon wholesale market which would be the largest modern trade centre is being built in Yangon City to commission it into service soon.

 

Mutual cooperation


The project of international level wholesale market is under construction on 167 acres of land at the corner of Bago River and Yadana Road in Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) Township, Yangon Region. The project is being jointly implemented by Singapore-based Seamanea Group and Ei Co Ltd of Myanmar in a mutual cooperation.


The project aims to emerge a modern wholesale market where a large volume of commodities are available at a single place as well as to become the largest and most advanced trade centre in Myanmar. To become Yangon City as a business hub of Myanmar, industrial zones and special economic zones must be operated successfully with investments from international community and businesses. So also, it is necessary to emerge the wholesale markets meeting international standards so as to give paces for sales of products.

 

Construction of more than 700 shops

 

To be able to address such situation, an international level wholesale market is being built in the place that will be a business hub of Yangon City. The first phase of the project on 100,000 square metres of land will comprise more than 700 shops.

 

Car parks

A wholesale market to be formed with more than 700 shops, banks, restaurants, supermarkets as well as car parks for systematic parking of vehicles in various sizes will be built in addition to modern warehouses and advanced wide rooms.

 

The second phase of the project will be implemented on 300,000 metres of land where the market to emphasize wholesale trading, the halls for expositions and hotels will be built. Such implementation aims to give better facilities to businesspersons from global countries and local and foreign manufacturers in all aspects.

 

Striving for implementation

 

The project will be implemented with three phases in construction tasks. Utmost efforts are being made for inauguration of the construction of the first phase in coming April. The second phase which will consist of more than 1,000 shops will be built after April of coming year.

 

The third phase of the project will comprise housing apartments, shopping malls and shopping centres as well as hotels. Arrangements are being made for the international level wholesale market in order to create business linkages and give services for production, sales and distribution in a single place.

 

When the first phase of the project has been commissioned into service, it aims to give services of renting shops to small-scale businesspersons and merchants of Myanmar to do their businesses. Better stay facilities will be arranged for local and foreign entrepreneurs who arrive in Myanmar so as to operate various kinds of businesses in a single place.

 

Smooth transportation

Such kind of international level wholesale market in Yangon takes a position on the route to Thilawa Special Economic Zone and international ports. Moreover, the wholesale market has easy access to Yadana Hninsi Housing and Aya Chantha Advanced Housing Project as well as Emerald Bay in a short time.

 

Danyingon wholesale market has already been commissioned into service in Yangon.
