National flag carrier resumes Yangon-Manaung flight

Myanmar National Airlines (MNA) has resumed domestic flights to Manaung, Kyaukphyu and Sittway in Rakhine State from Yangon since 16 October after it suspended operations due to poor weather conditions on 30 May last year.

The airline is set to operate the Yangon-Manaung flight five days a week beginning 11 November. The MNA is currently running the Yangon-Manaung route three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). The MNA reached an agreement with Manaung Public Company to extend the Yangon-Manaung flight five days a week. The Myanmar flag carrier uses Grand Caravan airplanes which are small aircraft; they have an 11 seat capacity, according to the Manaung Public Company which is tasked with executing and running the air services.


The airline will operate three flights per week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Ticket fares from Yangon to Kyaukphyu, Manaung, and Sittway range from Ks. 37,000, Ks. 41,000 and Ks. 88,000.
