Narcotic drugs, percussion lock firearms seized in Tachilek

A huge quantity of narcotic tablets, heroin and percussion lock firearms were seized in Maekhaung-Na village in Lwedawkham village-tract, Tachilek township yesterday morning. Upon information received, policemen from Anti-Drug Squad-30 together with witnesses searched a house that belongs to Arr Kwe and his wife Mee Chu in Maekhaung-Na village in the presence of the couple and a man called Arr Ta.

 

The authorities confiscated 15,955 tablets, 240 grams of heroin, 100 grams of raw opium and three percussion lock firearms kept in a guard house in the compound of the house. The authorities continued to search a man named Arr Sat entering into the house to use drugs and seized 42 tablets from his motorbike.

 

The authorities filed charges against the four for their role in illegal activities under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.—Myint Mo (Tachilek)
