Myanmar seafarers placed under hotel quarantine in Kawthoung

38 Myanmar seafarers from a ship docked at a jetty in the Andaman Sea near Kawthoung Township, Taninthayi Region were placed under 21-day hotel quarantine on August 25.


They transferred duty with 21 other Myanmar seafarers who waited for them in Kawthoung in advance. The cargo ship arrived at an island near Kawthoung in the Andaman Sea yesterday evening after coming back home from India and Singapore.


Myanmar seafarers get medical checked by a combined team and their samples were taken by medical staff for coronavirus test and would be sent to Yangon National Lab.—Kyaw Soe (Kawthoung)
