The Monywa University’s hiking and mountaineering association will climb Mt. Pyatkhaywe in Kume Township this academic year, according to chairman of Monywa University’s hiking and mountaineering association Dr. Zaw Myint Ne (Professor and Head of Geology Department).
“It is the first trip for the association and it will contribute to the learning of Geology, Botany and Geography” he added.
The Mt. Pyatkhaywe situated eastern part of Kume Township, Mandalay Region is dotted with a Buddha Tooth Relic Pagoda founded by King Alaung Min Tayar.
