MNL clubs representing Myanmar to play AFC Cup 2019 debuts on 26 Feb

The Myanmar National League clubs Yangon United and Shan United will be participating in the AFC Cup 2019, Asia’s secondary club football tournament organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

The group stage matches of the AFC Cup 2019 will begin in the last week of February. MNL champion Yangon United will face off Vietnamese club Ha Noi, Singaporean side Tampines Rovers, and Cambodian club Nagaworld in the group-F of the AFC Cup 2019. Shan United representing Shan State is pooled in the Group-G of the AFC Cup 2019 together with Ceres Negros from the Philippines, Becamex Binh Duong from Vietnam and Persija Jakarta from Indonesia.

Yangon United is scheduled to play opening match against Tampines Rovers on home soil while Shan United will clash with Ceres Negros in Bacolod City in the Philippines on 26 February.—By Kyaw Htike Soe
