Middle school upgraded to high school in Kani Township

A ceremony to open an upgraded basic education high school was held in Taohn Village, Kani Township in Sagaing Region this morning.

First, the regional lawmakers U Tun Tun Win and U Shwe Htay, Chairman of the township management committee Township Administrator U Thaik Soe Tun and Township Education Officer U Kan Aung opened the signboard of the school by cutting a ceremonial ribbon. The regional lawmakers, the township management committee chairman and the township education officer then gave speeches.

 

Daw Thin Thin Maw, the school headmistress elaborated on the historical backgrounds of the school and the village administrator spoke words of thanks. The middle school was promoted to a high school by the Department of Education this academic year.—Than Htay Aung (Kani)
