MFF president honours donors to Ayeyawady Centre

Myanmar Football Federation President and Chairperson of the Ayeyawady Foundation U Zaw Zaw recently expressed his heartfelt thanks and words of honour for donors who intended to contribute cash and necessary utensils to Ayeyawady COVID-19 Care Centre in Yangon.

U Zaw Zaw said, “I would like to honour and thank all the valued donors for their kind contributions and to more than 700 healthcare workers and volunteers for taking their lives at risk to be part of this deed.

Recently, we have been witnessing unexpected invaluable losses of human lives in this wonderful world that we live in due to this terrible pandemic.

We are working together in unison not only to rid of this terrible pandemic but also to preserve the value of the lives of many, to live up fully to the extent of their lives, to be able to meet each other in persons, to let the youths enjoy learning new things, to get businesses back to normalcy and to get back the precious time we have.

To regain the valuable lives of our existence, we must strive together in unity with compassion.

Till date, we have received K 1.4 billion in cash and K 1.1 billion worth of medicines and consumer goods.

We will publish the statements of donations to make sure nothing has been wasted and the funds and the donations are being used effectively and systematically in a transparent and accountable manner.

Ayeyawady Foundation has already donated K 3.5 billion in the COVID first wave and K 5.5 billion in the second wave amounting to a total of K 9 billion and have also received K 2.5 billion from our valued donors and benefactors.

“May all these good deeds be blessed to you all,” the MFF president wished.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
