Matric examiners discuss rules for 2019 matriculation exams

A MEETING on rules and regulations for matric exam chief/ assistant/deputy examiners and examinees for 2019 matriculation examination was held at No. 2 Basic Education High School, Pyinmana, Nay Pyi Taw Council area yesterday morning.

At the meeting, Union Minister for Education, Dr. Myo Thein Gyi, said that the most important thing for successfully holding the 2019 matriculation examination is the examinees need to know about the rules for the conduct of examination, and examination administrators and examiners are responsible for knowing the rules beforehand. Based on the rules and regulations book published by Department of Myanmar Examination strengths are to be strengthened and weaknesses are to be reviewed and improved. In the 2019 matriculation examination there’ll be an increase in balanced easy, fair and difficult questions that promote contemplation. Adequate number of teachers who can conduct the examining of the exam papers according to rules and regulations and in an un-biased neutral manner are to be assigned while pregnant teachers, teachers who have recently given birth, teachers above 58 years old, teachers with poor health, and teachers who are not related to the subject are not to be assigned as examiners, said the Union Minister. Next, questions raised by the teachers were answered by the Union Minister and officials.
