Khin-U, 10 February
A man committed suicide by stabbing himself to dead in the village of Telbopin, Khin-U township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region yesterday.
Immediately after hearing the incident, policemen led by Police Sub-inspector Kaung Myat Kyaw from Nyaungbingyisu Police Outpost were at the scene and identified the man as U Tint, 55, son of U Ba Ngwe, of Telbopin village, who was found dead lying in a prone position.
It was learnt that the man was a heavy drunkard, and an investigation is ongoing to ensure that if there is any foul play.—Chit San (Khin-U)
