Man drowns in Kawhmu Tsp

Kawhmu 9 April

A man drowned in “70 feet” creek in Letkhait village of Kawhmu Township, Yangon region in the morning of 8 April.

Upon information received, Police Captain Thet Lwin and members together with witnesses rushed to the scene to inspect the incident. The authorities found the body of a man identified as Khine Lin, 33, in front of Ma Nyunt Sean’s empty tent alongside the creek, east of the village. 

Upon questioning, Ma Phyu U, the victim’s wife told the authorities that the victim, after having drunk too much, left their tent house to fetch water and fell into the creek. Though she cried for help, there was nobody amid the fields. Two hours later, she found the dead body of his husband in front of Ma Nyunt Sean’s empty tent alongside the creek, some 40 feet away from their tent house. The body of the victim was sent to Kawhmu People’s Hospital for medical examination, it is learnt. Kyaw Thura ( IPRD)
