A man who stole over K 1.4 million kept in a motorcycle was arrested by local policemen within 24 hours in Einme, Myaungmya District, Ayeyawady Region on 19 April.
A man, identified as Shwe Htoo Zaw (a) Hein Htet Aung of Einmegyi Ward, stole over K 1.4 million kept in a motorcycle, while the motorcycle owner U Myo Wai Aung was in CB bank to transfer money.
Acting on a tip-off, police members from the Township Police Station together with witnesses made a search and arrested him at a teahouse along with a motorbike, a gold chain, an earring, a watch and a bicycle that are believed to have been bought with the stolen money.
The authorities opened cases against Shwe Htoo Zaw (a) Hein Htet Aung in line with the law.—Chit Thet Le (Einme)
