A male motorist and a pregnant woman on board were killed in an accident that took place between mile posts 87/6 and 87/7 on Yangon-Pyi highways in Letpadan Township, Thayawady district, Bago region yesterday.
Upon information received, Police Sub-Inspector Myat Noe Thu and policemen from Myoma Police Station (Letpadan) together with witness rushed to the accident scene to inspect the incident. The authorities were reported that a motorbike driven by U Win Kin rammed into another motorbike ridden by Tun Tun Naing and Ma Ei Ei Phyu, a pregnant woman, on board, while U Win Kin was trying to carve up the latter.
Tun Tun Naing and Ma Ei Ei Phyu suffered injuries to their ribs and abdomens. The two were pronounced dead on their arrival at Letpadan Public Hospital. Action is being taken against U Win Kin for reckless driving, according to Letpadan Myoma Police Station.— Thant Zaw (IPRD)
