Koreans visit Myanmar by own motorcar

Nay Pyi Taw, 12 June

The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism has been making appropriate arrangements for international visitors to flock to Myanmar in a safe and secure manner. The ministry also organized some travel itineraries for tourists who enter the country through border checkpoints.

Under the management of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism and Man Giri Industrial Co., Ltd, two tourists from Korea visited Myanmar on their motorcar by crossing the Tamu border gate on 29 May. They also travelled to Monywa, Mandalay, Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Hpa-an and Myawady and left for Thailand via Myawady border gate on 3 June.

This is open season in Myanmar and some travel restrictions were eased to attract more tourists. Foreigners are continuously entering Myanmar by land, air and sea to visit significant tourist attraction sites in the country.—MOHT
