KBZ hands over air-flown delivery of medical equipment, supplies to MoHS for fighting COVID-19

With handing over of air-flown medical equipment and supplies from China to Ministry of Health and Sports on 3rd April, KBZ Bank has completed the delivery of the aid which were committed as donations to the ministry to prevent, contain and treat COVID-19 in Myanmar.


Over the past week, KBZ Bank spared no resources to coordinate and ensure the efficient delivery of the items to the local health authorities for distribution to hospitals and healthcare workers across the country.


Daw Nang Lang Kham, Deputy CEO of KBZ Bank, handed over the donation of hospital equipment and supplies to Dr. Tun Myint, Deputy Director General, Ministry of Health and Sports on 3 April 2020 at Yangon International Airport.


On 3 April 2020, the delivery of 23,000 sets of European CE Standard PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) suits with full sleeves, 17,000 medical protective goggles, 15,000 medical protective shoes, 10,000 surgical gloves, 15,000 short medical gloves, 15,000 long medical gloves, 15,000 sets of headgear, 700,000 surgical face masks, 17,000 N95 respirator masks, 10,000 bottles of 500ml hand sanitizer and 300 thermometers arrived in Yangon, Myanmar. To speed up the delivery of these items, KBZ Bank chartered a Myanmar Airways International (MAI) flight from Guangzhou, China, which landed at 3:50pm today at Yangon International Airport. Daw Nang Lang Kham, Deputy CEO of KBZ Bank, officially handed over the items to Dr. Tun Myint, Deputy Director General, Ministry of Health and Sports.


Between 27 March to 3 April, KBZ Bank handed over 600,000 pieces of surgical masks and 3,000 sets of PPE suits, to MOHS officials in Muse, northern Shan State and in Mandalay.—GNLM
