Kayin State Chief Minister inspects flood affected areas

According to today’s observations, the water level in the Thanlwin River at Hpa-an Township has exceeded its danger mark and water entered into the low-lying areas in the town of Hpa-an. 


Therefore, Kayin State Chief Minister Daw Nan Khin Htwe Myint, Speaker of Kayin State Hluttaw U Saw Chit Khin and State Ministers inspected the situation of low-lying areas this morning and arranged to open rescue camps for flood victims.


Next, the officials provided relief items to flood victims in Se-ein-su village and arrangements are being made to relocate households in Ward-5 to safety places in line with the COVID-19 restrictions, according to Township Information and Public Relations Department.
