An opening of Kayin literature course was held at Thantithukha monastery in Shanywathit Town, Hpa-an District in Kayin State on Monday.
The intention of the course is to assist the young students in spending their leisure during school holidays beneficially and preserve Kayin traditional culture, language and literature. A total of 51 students ranging from kindergarten to Grade-4 are being taught Kayin literature by four course instructors during the 10-day training course.—IPRD
