Pauk, 13 March
Acting on information, personnel led by staff officer U Thaw Hmone from the Township Forest Department and policemen together with witnesses on 23 April searched the forest in Tamakyaingbi area in Bamauk Township and seized 10 illegal teak logs, 230 sawn teak and an illegal sawmill. The seized teak timbers weighed 6.26 tons.
Action is being taken against those who got involved in the illegal business under the forest law.—Lu Aung (Katha)
