One illegal saw mill and teaks were confiscated in “Saton” reserve forest in Myothit Township, Magway Region on 30 January.
Departmental personnel from the Township Forest Department in collaboration with the Shwe Pan village administrator seized 16 illegal teaks weighing 1.076 tons, one illegal saw mill including one 25 HP engine and a round saw which has a diameter of 3 feet and 6 inches and related items.
An investigation is ongoing to expose the owner of the saw mill to bring him to the justice.—Zaw Zaw
