Pathein 19 April
A fire broke out at about 8:10 pm on 18 April at Zanzan Baby store in area-6 in Pathein, Ayeyawady Region.
The fire was supposed to have started from a cigarette fire which was left recklessly in the bed room by Nyan Thura Htet and his friend Min Min Soe at the upper floor of the store. The fire occurred after the cigarette fire spread to adjoining mattress.
But the blaze was extinguished successfully by local firemen, policemen, volunteers and Locals within 20 minutes.
Properties worth about K 1.3 million were damaged in the fire. Authorities filed a case against Min Min Soe for his negligence.—Maung Maung Myint
