Head-on collision in Kyaukpadaung claims two dead, one injured

Kyaukpadaung, 18 February

           

Two men have died and one other was seriously hurt in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a car, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.

           

The traffic accident allegedly took place at milepost 36/1 on the Meiktila-Kyaukpadaung Road at around 4 p.m. on 16 February. A passenger bus driven by a man named Naing Gyi, 35, collided with a Mark II car coming from an opposite direction with three men aboard. Two men from the car were killed on the spot and the driver received severe injuries in the incident.

           

The deceased and injured man were transferred to a public hospital in Kyaukpadaung and an investigation into the case is ongoing by the local police.—MOHA
