Haul of drugs seized in Patheingyi, Tachilek Tsps

Police members from Mandalay (North) Anti-Drug Squad-17 on 11 April intercepted a passenger vehicle at Shwekyin checkpoint in Patheingyi Township and seized 2000 stimulant pills, 4.1 grams of heroin and two mobile phones from two passengers. They were identified as Zaw Moe Win (a) Zaw Moe Chit and Win Tun.

In a similar incident, members of security force the same day seized heroin weighing 7 kilos, 108000 stimulant tablets in the dense forest near Mekong River, Sanphu Village in Tachilek Township, Shan State. Action is being taken under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.—MPF
