Opium and 760 stimulant tablets were seized in Pyinsu village, Htigyaing Township, Katha District, Sagaing Region at 6.30 am today.
Acting on a tip-off, a combined team led by Police Sub-Inspector Soe Naing Win from Htigyaing Myoma Police Station and Police Inspector Bo Bo Han from Aleitaw Police Station searched the house of Win Htay, of Pyinsu village, Htigyaing Township, Sagaing Region and seized 150 grams of opium and 760 stimulant tablets bearing the word “WY” worth K 4.2 million.
The local police station has filed charges against him under section 19/A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.-Lu Aung (Katha)
